However, you might think is it worth its money, is it effective and is it right for me? If you do, we a here to assist you.

In this article, you will find not only the review of the method with before&after photos but also understand how effective it is according to clinical trials.

What is Cryoskin therapy?

The CryoSkin is a blanket term for three treatments: CryoSlimming, CryoToning, and CryoFacial.

CryoSlimming is a body-contouring procedure. You can use it to treat all areas with excess fat. It uses contrast cryolipolysis by combining heating and cooling to initiate fat cell death and make your body look slimmer.

CryoTonning reduces cellulite and tightens the skin where it lacks elasticity. It uses cooling to stimulate collagen and elastin production and makes your skin looks smooth and tight.

CryoFacial is also a toning procedure for the face and neck. It helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and poor size as well as inflammation and pigmentation. It also enhances collagen production and makes the skin looks fresh and younger.

CryoSkin is usually mixed with CoolSculpting, another popular non-invasive method. Check our article to understand commonalities and differences

The science behind the method

The principle behind any cryolipolisis method is based on the assumption that fat cells (adipocytes) are more sensitive to cold temperatures than other skin cells [1]. Lipids inside the cells are crystallized after their temperature drops to 10°C. Scientists suppose that this triggers cell death via apoptosis.

During CryoSlimming you will experience a contrast cryolipolisis. Firstly, the operator uses a special wand to heat the treatment area. Then he cools it down to subzero temperature. At the end of the session, the fat cells will get a thermal shock, due to the rapid rise in wand temperature.

CryoSlimming

According to the research, the usage of contrast temperature during cryolipolisis destroys more adipocytes. 10 participants went through one session of cryolipolisis with additional heating before and after the treatment. The average fat reduction of the abdominal was 26.6%. Compared to the study of simple cryolipolysis conducted by the same researchers, the contrast cryolipolysis shows a 42.45% improvement toward fat layer reduction.

CryoSkin also enhances microcirculation and collagen production. The first natural reaction to cooling is vasoconstriction to decrease heat loss. After 5-10 minutes from cooling starts, the organism reacts with vasodilating and increases blood flow to the skin. Subsequently, the new phase of vasoconstriction follows vasolidation and the process repeats itself. This effect together with massaging results in enhancing microcirculation and collagen production for skin tightening.

Cryoslimming, CryoToning, or CrioFacial which one is the best for you?

As we said the CryoSkin is a blanket term for three treatments: CryoSlimming, CryoToning, and CryoFacial. Below, we will look at every procedure in more detail and provide you with before & after photos.

CryoSlimming

limming

CryoSlimming is a non-invasive body-contouring method. The procedure induces fat cell death by applying temperature shock and concentrated cold to the treated area.

It can be done anywhere with excess fat, including the abdomen, thighs, upper back, arms, love handles, and hips. The treatment of the buttocks itself may not be as effective, instead using of CryoToning or pairing both treatments is beneficial.

During treatment, the operator uses a special handled wand (or static heads in CryoSkin 4.0). The session starts with warming the fat paddle for a couple of minutes. After that, a handheld wand starts to cool fat to sub-zero temperatures. Thit causes the crystalization of fat cells. A technician uses a special massaging technique to ton the skin and reaches deeper layers of subcutaneous fat. The last step is heating again. A wand rapidly warms up causing a thermal shock and triggering apoptosis of fat cells.

Every session lasts around 30-35 minutes, while the extended session is around 45 minutes. A standard program includes 5 treatments. While the first effects you can notice just after the treatment, most patients start to see sustainable results after the third or fourth session.

It is recommended to treat only one area during the session and different treated areas are treated in order. For example, the first five sessions treat the abdomen and the next five for the legs. This restriction helps to avoid overloading the lymphatic system. With CryoSkin 4.0 you may have two areas treated simultaneously due to the usage of static heads.

Cryoslimming is not a weight-losing procedure. It is the most beneficial for people, who are overweight less than 30 lbs. The treatment was designed to address stubborn fat pads of patients who are already in good shape and near their ideal weight.

CryoToning

CryoToning

From 80% to 90% of females after 20 notice cellulite or “orange peel” development on the thighs and buttocks. CryoTonning addresses loose skin, and cellulite and helps to fight signs of aging. It tights, smoothes, and shapes areas with sagged skin.

A technician applies a cooling wand to the treated area. Compared to CryoSlimming, the used technique is more gentle as it aims only dermis level of the skin. The treating areas include the skin of the legs, arms, buttocks, back, and abdomen. The cold enhances microcirculation of the dermis resulting in collagen and elastin production.

One session lasts around 30 minutes. A treatment program usually lasts 5 sessions that are performed once or twice per week. The first sustainable results can be noticed after the third or the fourth session. You may also decide to get a touch-up every 2-3 months to maintain good results after the end of the treatment program.

📌 Tip! If you have cellulite with pinchable fat you may need to combine slimming and toning CryoSkin procedures for the best results.

CryoFacial

CryoFacial

CryoFacial aims to lift and tone the skin of the face and neck. As it was in CryoSkin Tonning the technician will firstly cover the treated area with gel and then apply the cooling wand. You will feel a pleasantly cold sensation.

The treatment stimulates micro-circulation and collagen and elastin production. That makes skin looks tighter and smoother. It also reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and pore size.

The overall duration of the treatment is around 20 minutes. You will notice the difference immediately after the treatment. The standard package includes 5 sessions, while the frequency of the treatment depends on the patient’s age. For those under 45, the week interval is recommended, and for those who are over 45 twice per week. To maintain good results you might need to repeat treatment over some time.

📌 Tip! CryoFacial is beneficial for people with rosacea, acne, psoriasis, and eczema.

How effective CryoSkin is according to clinical studies

The only available research that evaluated results after CryoSlimming is a clinical study from the manufacturer. It measures the efficiency of Cryoskin 3.0 for abdominal treatment. The study includes 16 people, who underwent 5 sessions of CryoSkin. On average, the fat tissued thickness was reduced by 18.96%, compared to measurements before treatment. There was a 4.7 cm (1.85 in) reduction in the abdominal belt circumference. The weight loss was not significant and most varied from less than 1 kg to 2.9 kg.

According to the study of clinical conditions, Cryoskin showed a body contouring effect for 87.5% of patients, a slimming effect for 43.8% of patients, and an improvement of skin quality for 100% of patients.

100% of study participants said the treatment was pleasant. 81% admitted that they were relaxed, and in a better mood after the session, while 87% also felt energetic. According to research, 94% of respondents are satisfied with the overall results

Still, the reliability of this article is under question, due to the small number of partiсipants and how the author tried to interpret some questionable results and use them for marketing purposes.

Still, the method shows it efficiently according to customer reviews and before&after photos. However, it is too early to speak about “game-changing” treatment or guaranteed results. More independent studies with a larger number of participants are needed to assess it.

Contradictions of CryoSkin

CryoSkin

Tips on how to get even better results

Tips on how to get even better results

🍰 Avoid eating all sugars for 2-3 hours (if possible 4-5 hours) before the treatment.

This rule applies to all sorts of food rich in carbohydrates, including pasta, fruits, sweets, bread, and rice. Sugar is an energy source for cells. Sugar consumption gives energy to the fat cells that prevent them from destruction. It makes the procedure less effective.

💧 Drink plenty of water to support the lymphatic system

As the lymphatic system is responsible for flushing away leftovers after cell death. During all treatment periods, you need to drink to help this system work effectively. You may also consider a lymphatic massage or an infrared sauna for additional treatment.

Do you know that you can get the infrared sauna at home? Check the the best infrared sauna blankets you can get on the market

📌 Avoid using a sauna or tanning bed for 72 hours (3 days) after the treatment

🏃 Refrain from an extensive workout just before the session

You heat up your body while exercising, so it will be harder to cool it down during the session. That makes treatment less effective.

🌿 Continue exercising and stick to a healthy diet before, during, and after the treatment

CryoSkin is neither a magic pill nor a substitution of basic rules for keeping your body healthy. It gives the best result to people who are already in a good shape and want to fight stubborn fat paddles and sagging skin. Workout and diet are still the smartest way to decrease body weight and make your overall appearance more attractive and slimmer.

CryoSkin 3.0 vs CryoSkin 4.0

While searching for the center to do a CryoSkin treatment you may find that there are CryoSkin 3.0 and CryiSkin 4.0 on the market. While CryoSkin 3.0. performs all basic procedures discussed above, a new version proposes more complex and advanced services.

CryoSkin 3.0

🔷 Used for Slimming, Tonning, and CryoFacial treatments
🔷 Only one area is treated simultaneously
🔷 Only manual wand
🔷 The slimming session lasts up to 35 minutes

CryoSkin 4.0

🔶 Used for Slimming, Tonning, and CryoFacial treatments
🔶 Possible to treat two areas simultaneously
🔶 Manual wand and static heads
🔶 Electro-lymphatic drainage, which stimulates circulation and the lymphatic system
🔶 The results are less dependent on the operator technique because of static heads
🔶 The slimming session can last up to 45 minutes to treat the area with dense and fibrous fat

You may benefit from CryoSkin 4.0 in several cases. First of all, if you have large pockets of fat on the stomach or legs and require more time to cool them down.
